Independent Work

For my independent project I plan on taking Polaroid pictures using a Fuji film polaroid camera. I want to take a lot of pictures and make them into a grid. I want to take pictures of things that I care about, such as my friends and places that I like.  After that, I would link the pictures together using a light colored ribbon and that way they would all be connected.

Transfers

For my transfer project I plan to take a picture similar to the one below and transfer it on to two different materials. First I am planning to transfer it onto wood so that the image is clear and you can tell what it is. For my second transfer I plan to do the stone paper emulation transfer.

Cubism

Cubism is "an early 20th-century style and movement in art, esp. painting, in which perspective with a single viewpoint was abandoned and use was made of simple geometric shapes, interlocking planes, and, later, collage."

David Hockney

These are examples of work created by David Hockney.

Diptychs and Triptychs

Diptychs are two photos placed next to each other that share meaning and are similar to each other. They use each other and compliment each other to tell a story.

Camille Pasquin

Bobby Stokes

 Jorre Janssens

Triptychs are very similar to diptychs. Triptychs are a set of three images that relate to each other and are placed next to each other.
